We are also currently counseling and guiding major international petrochemical firms throughout public procurement procedures that aim to develop the country’s downstream industry. These procurements often involve multibillion dollar projects.

Power Plants

We have advised and assisted foreign companies in the construction of Algeria’s most important power plants.

We recently advised:

• A French company in the construction of a 2000MW power station project, designed to satisfy domestic needs and provide sufficient export capacity.
• A Canadian company in the construction of a power station in Hadjret Nouss.
• A Spanish company in the construction of the first solar - combined cycle hybrid plant in Algeria.
• A German company in the construction of a Helium plant.
• Several international companies in the negotiation, construction and financing of several desalination plants.
• A major LPG specialist in a recent tender procedure related to the first LPG project in Algeria.
• We have also advised the majority of petroleum service companies operating in Algeria in the last 20 years.

Mining

Our firm is well versed in mining law and often advises international mining companies in their Algerian operations.

We have recently represented a Canadian company and an Australian company in the negotiation of mine exploration and exploitation contracts. Similar work has been accomplished in the framework of uranium and gold mining projects.
